Ken Wyman

Ken has been called "one of the best fundraisers in the world." For more than 20 years he has invented and adapted techniques to help non-profit groups learn the secrets of growth. This approach has helped hundreds of organisations raise millions of dollars. Ken is the professor and program co-ordinator in the post-graduate Fundraising and Volunteer Management Program at Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning in Toronto ( Canada ). Ken hosted the educational TV series, The Fund Raising Game. The eight half-hour episodes are available on video with a workbook. He is also the author of six books:

At Ken Wyman & Associates Inc. (KW&A) clients range from grass roots groups with no staff or office, to giant multinationals. They come from almost every field. Ken leads seminars and works across Canada , the USA , in Cuba , Sweden , Austria , Switzerland and Holland at the Resource Alliance's International Fund Raising Workshop. He has also created and taught academic credit courses on fund raising for George Brown College , Grant MacEwan College , Ryerson Polytechnic University , University of West Virginia Graduate School and York University .

He earned the designation Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) based on years of service and a rigorous examination. The Association of Fundraising Professionals' Toronto Chapter named Ken Outstanding Fund Raiser in their first awards.

Before becoming a consultant, Ken spent five years as National Coordinator of Fund Raising and Publicity for OXFAM-Canada, the third-world development agency. He helped reverse their seven-year decline in income, tripling public donations to $1.2 million a year. Earlier, as a journalist and photographer, Ken filed news and human-interest stories from across Canada , Europe , South America and Israel .

Ken's current volunteer activities include serving as a founding board member of The Change Canada Charitable Foundation, and on the Masters/PhD Track Committee for AFP Toronto. He is also on the editorial board for Aspen Publisher's Resource Guide for Private School Administrators.
