Nancy Shelford has worked and volunteered for over 20 years in the nonprofit field in the areas of community development and volunteerism. Her wide-ranging involvement includes numerous community organizations, a health authority, and currently a national charity – the Canadian Cancer Society. Working for the Canadian Cancer Society for over 13 years, Shelford has provided recruitment support and coaching for staff and volunteers in client support, fundraising, advocacy, and health promotion. As Volunteer Stewardship Officer, she is responsible for designing and implementing a provincial plan to enhance the volunteer experience and improve retention.
