Kerryn Mitchell has worked in community-based services for more than 25 years with The Red Cross and Hanover Welfare Services, and has worked for the past 21 years in as the Manager of Volunteers at Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW), a 260-bed health facility in the regional city of Wangaratta in Victoria, Australia.
Mitchell says that volunteers have always been at the core of her responsibilities. “Through my studies in community sector management and community leadership,” she said, “I have found a passion to contribute towards the volunteer management sector and to raise the profile of what it takes to be leader in this industry.”
