Jennifer Mann is the Head of Volunteering for Home-Start UK, a local community network of over 13,000 trained volunteers who are helping families with young children through challenging times. She has worked for over 10 years in volunteer management for organisations including The Children’s Trust, Oxfam, and The University of West London, with specific experience in growing and implementing new volunteering services at a local, regional and national level. She passionately believes in the power of volunteering and transforming the life of the volunteer as well as the communities they support.
Mann has also been an active volunteer since she was a child; at the age of five, she helped out at her first Blue Peter Bring and Buy Sale. She now volunteers to give advice and support to Asylum Seekers and Refugees, and is currently a director for AVM (Association of Volunteer Managers).
