Dr. R. Sam Larson is Director of Applied Research, a consulting firm dedicated to the improvement of practice through research and evaluation. She is also a Research Associate with the Center for Educational Policy Research at the University of Oregon.
Sam has a doctorate from Michigan State University. Her research interests include organizational theory and communication, especially as they apply to the nonprofit sector. She is also engaged in the study of nonprofit management education. She has worked with the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, the Michigan Department of Community Health, the Volunteer Center of Battle Creek, and other educational and nonprofit organizations.
