Julia Lam is Service Development Head at the Agency for Volunteer Service (AVS) in Hong Kong (http://www.avs.org.hk).
Julia has been in the volunteer field for nearly 25 years and has served AVS for 14 years. Her main duties are to provide training, consultation, service coordination and new services development within the Agency. She has delivered training on volunteer service management for organizations from various sectors and also has published a series of reference materials and resource kits on the subject. Julia has attended the international conferences hosted by AVA and IAVE regularly and has conducted workshops to introduce Hong Kong’s practice of pioneer projects as well as to demonstrate the effect of volunteer management in services.
