Dr. Tonya Howard Calhoun has a rich background in the nonprofit sector and an overwhelmingly deep passion for volunteerism. She has spent over 15 years in the field of volunteer management, utilizing her skills to create various resources, such as volunteer handbooks, recruitment plans, training and development manuals, program evaluation tools, and retention tools. She is the owner of Altruistically Yours, a company specializing in volunteer management consultation. Dr. Calhoun is currently the President of the Council of Volunteer Administrators for metro-Atlanta (COVA). She has facilitated Volunteer Management classes at Oglethorpe University and Coppin State University. She has also led trainings at the Whitney M. Young Leadership Conference, and the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Conference. Dr. Calhoun earned a PhD in Nonprofit Management & Leadership from Walden University.
