Debbe Gladstone has been with General Federation of Women’s Clubs since 1995 as its first full-time Director of Membership. Debbe had been an Assistant Editor in the Washington, DC office of Good Housekeeping magazine involved in liaison activities for the magazine with national and international women’s organizations. She also volunteered for, then became employed by, a small nonprofit community development organization, In Our Own Way, whose programs focused on rural Appalachian women. Volunteer activities have included PTA president, Leathers Playground coordinator, Girl Scout leader, Great Books leader, and volunteer in the Conservation Laboratory at Smithsonian Institution. Debbe grew up in Syracuse, New York, attended Simmons College in Boston, MA, is married with two children and one grandson.
