Denise Bertilone

Denise Bertilone is the Research & Project Officer at Volunteering WA, the Western Australian state peak body for volunteering. In 2011, Bertilone co-ordinated a project examining Western Australia’s contemporary volunteering environment; the key findings from this project are available on the Volunteering WA website www.volunteeringwa.org.au.

Bertilone has also co-authored several major reports and papers, including “The changing parameters of volunteering,” a conference paper presented at the 13th National Conference on Volunteering in Melbourne, Australia, in 2010. The paper focused on stimulating discussion around updating the definition of volunteering in Australia. In 2009, Bertilone also co-authored “Exploring the issues relating to volunteer-involving community organisations and volunteers in selected Wheatbelt communities in Western Australia.”
