Marlene Beitz is a freelance writer, as well as a partner in policies and document preparation with organizations going through the Accreditation process. She recently served as a Manager of Volunteer Resources for a multi-service community support organization, a role which was usually referred to as the Coordinator of Volunteers (because being called a ‘Volunteer Coordinator’ is always confusing in its interpretation). She has also served as a Volunteer Volunteer Coordinator.
Beitz is the former president of Halton Association of Volunteer Administrators (Halton AVA), and is a Volunteer trainer with a local organization providing crisis intervention and coping strategies for daily living. She is also a Volunteer with United Way of Halton Hills.
Beitz has contributed to the Canadian Journal of Volunteer Resource Management (CJVRM), writing on her favorite topic: recognition of Volunteers.
