Denise Baker is the Executive Director of Vantage Point, a not-for-profit that supports other not-for-profit organizations with professional development programs on leadership, board governance, and people management. As Executive Director, she is responsible for leading and executing Vantage Point’s mission to totally transform the not-for-profit sector through building leadership capability and engaging the community.
Before joining Vantage Point, Baker was Assistant Dean of the Business Career Centre at the Sauder School of Business, UBC, where she provided leadership, vision, and strategic direction in a complex global environment of internal and external stakeholders and a diverse customer base of 4000 higher education clients. She implemented many innovative programs and employer engagement strategies that increased student success and employer engagement.
Baker also spent 10 years in the software industry as the Worldwide Director of Education Partnerships. She has a BA Honors and Masters of Library and Information Science.
