Effective training builds commitment and competence among staff and volunteers -- a key ingredient to a successful volunteer program. The focus of this section is to provide training examples, exercises, tools, resources and tips on various aspects of content and process involved in training staff and/or volunteers. Each issue will offer an in-depth exploration of one technique or topic.

Sharing Our Training Knowledge
The approach to this site is intended to be highly interactive. Therefore, the materials that I present are intended as a starting point to stimulate further sharing among readers. Please feel free to share your insights, experiences and knowledge of previously published or unpublished training examples on the topic that I address. In that way, we can all gain exposure to additional information that will augment our roles as internal trainers. I encourage you to participate!
