D.J. Cronin
Cronin has managed volunteers in various settings in Australia for the past 13 years and has developed a special interest in volunteer management. An immediate past President of the Australasian Association of Volunteer Administrators and a current member, Cronin is a faculty member with the Annual Retreat for Advanced Volunteer Management in Australasia which provides an advanced level training opportunity for volunteer managers as well as supporting the emerging profession of volunteer manager. Cronin has assisted several hospitals across Australia in establishing volunteer programs. He has presented for the National Conference on Volunteering, Volunteering Queensland and Volunteering Gold Coast; he was on the steering committee for the last national conference. Cronin continues to volunteer his own time for Lifeline Community Care (a community organisation in Brisbane where he became an accredited telephone counsellor), and by presenting at various community groups on the topic of volunteering in Australia.
